Sun's Up, Hawaii - Fort Shafter

A must-try when you're in Hawaii! I sampled the birria melt, which was accompanied by a delicious homemade spice sauce and an incredible hibiscus tea. Sunshine is a delightful and gracious host. I will definitely return!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring Ohana Hale, located to the left of the stage. They have a small menu with about four food options. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, and I was surprised at how filling it was—I couldn’t finish mine! I thought $13 was a bit steep for a sandwich, but it was tasty and satisfying. It came with a side of salsa rosa, which added a nice little kick; my boyfriend really enjoyed it because he loves to dip. The chamoy mango smoothie looked absolutely delicious, so I'll definitely need to try that next time!

My friend and I enjoyed the birria melt sandwich made with mom's homemade bread, along with a fresh pineapple smoothie and homemade pineapple iced tea. The ambiance was delightful. We're glad to support a local family-run business. Thank you for the delicious food and drinks!

James Beard award winner?? Haha!! What a scam...or JB has REALLY lowered their standards. Also shady that they took down my last review since we got food poisoning! Much better options in OHM! Don't waste you money...or time.
