Happy Chef - Fort St. John

I'm sure the food would have been good if I received it. I was told 30 minutes. We called after an hour and where told it was out on delivery. After another 25 minutes we canceled the order and didn't even receive an apology. I fear the ginger beef and pork fried rice ended up back in the same stay warm pot as it came from.

Okay, how great can any Chinese Cuisine be from a mall food fair with only themselves and the neighbouring Orange Julius? I wanted something quick and was totally taken aback by the quality. I had chicken fried rice, beef with sacha sauce and sweet and sour boneless pork. I still had a two and half hour drive but this was so good that I ordered the same to go and it was just as good when I heated it up after I arrived at my room in Grande Prairie. The very nice lady serving me, had added a few pieces of a beef that seemed like a type of brisket and it was incredible. I will stop by on my next Fort St. John visit and if I do not have the time to stop and eat, I will grab my Chinese goody basket for later consumption when the craziness of the day gives way to relaxing in front of my television. I'm hungry already.

Only ordered take out from here the once but I was impressed with the quality.I was expecting generic and tasteless but for once I was wrong. I ordered Hot and Sour soup which was very good with lots of veggies and a nice heat kick to it.Spicy Salty Fish which was really good. Little morsels of a light breaded fish. Not oily at all, and with a good spicy flavour. A veggie chop suey that was okay. Nice crisp veggies anyway. I'll definitely try it again to see if others dishes have good flavour as well.

Our order was miscommunicated but they made it right quickly! Food was amazing! Delivery was fast! Totally recommend this place!

We hag a group over so we did a large order of 8 items that we picked up, and when we got home everything was still really hot. Of the 8 items, 6 of them were fantastic and two were not our favorites. There wasn't anything wrong with them, just different than we were used to flavor wise - but we still ate it all, so it definitely wasn't bad! The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the noodles weren't overcooked, the rice was fried nicely and tasty to boot. I think the favorite of the night was the boneless dry garlic bites - crispy on the outside, and hot and tender on the inside. My 5 year old kept going back for more, she probably ate half of the order - which is something because she normally wont even look at this type of cuisine! In all, this will be our new go to for chinese food for sure!
