Charlow's Grill - Fort Wayne

The seasoning was good, but they misrepresented their menu. They claimed to sell catfish, but I was served swai instead. I asked the woman at the window if it was real catfish because I've come across many places—except for my neighborhood—that pass off fake or swai fish as catfish. As a passionate foodie, I can definitely tell the difference, so I returned my plate and requested a refund because I really dislike swai. I immediately recognized it as swai, yet the owner insisted it was catfish. I found it both laughable and disrespectful that they thought I wouldn’t know the difference. I really want to support local Black-owned businesses, but come on—selling real catfish at prices around $10 or $11 wouldn’t hurt anyone's pockets and would be much appreciated. Sadly, they're not the only ones in Fort Wayne trying to pass off swai as catfish. It's disappointing.

Absolutely delicious! I tried the Bomb Charlows Burger along with fries and a side of greens. You definitely need to check them out!

This place is fantastic! I ordered the perch dinner with candied yams and collard greens. Everything was excellent and the portions were generous. I absolutely loved the seasoning on the fish! In the video, you can see that I had already eaten most of the yams because I just couldn't wait!

Food is always fresh, hot and good! My husband eats their fish every Friday! Definitely a place to try

Carry-out is highly encouraged here. You order from a window. If I ever go back, I would call and pick up the order. They have mostly fried food. Basically it 's soul food. I ordered wings and it had bread under the chicken which is a good sign. I was satisfied. It has booths for waiting. They have some fish to watch with a tropical beach wall. It 's not place to meet people but the food is good. Worth a stop if you are in the '06.
