Laycoff's Tavern - Fort Wayne

Food was really good. Pizza was fresh dough. Service at the Bar was the best. Quick and really good pours for sure. What a nice feeling neighborhood style place. I'm from Ohio and if I'm near I will be back.

Best breaded tenderloin I've had in years. Friendly staff. It's everything you want in a neighborhood bar but very welcoming to strangers, by the time you leave you will be a friend.

Really good breaded pork tenderloin and super cheesy sausage roll. Great server and fast service.

I'm not sure how long this facility has been in business as Laycoff's. I'm thinking it been a good long time. I can see way a loyal group of patrons keep coming back. Laycoffs isn't a glamorous facility. It has some dated decor and feels like it might not be in the best repair. However, it's clean and pretty well organized for comfort. The outdoor patio is really plain and has a great view of the busy/noisy street. But you can eat outside. The staff was very friendly. They welcomed us in the door and invited us to come back. The waitress knew her menu and process. She hustled and made things right. As an appetizer I had the thick onion rings. I have to say these were some of these best onion rings I've had. The breading was thick but not the onion ring. The breading was slightly nicely crunchy. Not much seasoning to the breading. Not much of a greaser taste either. My wife's veggie roll was excellent. The dough was light and flakey. The roll was filled with cheese and ample amount of veggies. I would definitely recommend selecting a roll when you visit! I ordered 12 wings. They were priced at about $1 per wing. The selection of sauces is limited to a single BBQ or a couple varieties of hot sauce. The wings were broiled not breaded and fried. They were a medium sized wing. Though I finished 12 wings and was still hunger. Most places 10 wings would fill me up. The BBQ sauce was a plain tasting BBQ nothing to distinguish the taste from other places. The baked/broiled wing had the sauce baked on which was a good touch instead of dipped. However the wings tended to come out with a tough exterior. I would recommend you give Laycoffs a try. It has some Fort Wayne nostalgia feel. The rolls are excellent and the crowd seemed friendly.

Great chill spot, food is amazing! Probably one of the best burgers I've had. Portions are big and prices are great for the amount of food given. The waitresses are lovely. First time I went they were playing Gaga and Katy perry so that was a plus! Lol. I definitely recommend. It's a little tight in there but definitely worth it.
