Crannog - Fort William

A visit to The Crannog was a special treat for us as we toured the area on our honeymoon. And we were so glad we booked. I visited the Crannog 20 years ago and it was still as wonderful as I remember. Such a beautiful environment on the pier above the water, definitely asking for a table on the window! We saw the sun over the mountains and the gulls while we ate. The food was delicious with a good selection on the menu, perfect portions and all beautifully presented. I had to start the summer vegetable cake and he had the sweet healed herring. We followed with lemon sole and Shetland salmon and finished with honey roasted peach and pear and elder cutard tart. It's just wonderful. We received a fantastic customer service from friendly staff who took all the time to congratulate us on our wedding. What a great evening, we wish we lived closer so we could visit earlier.

We were very happy to get a table at this incredibly popular location! Right on the water with a great view and the food was absolutely delicious, a great end of a day hike Ben Nevis! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We had the Cullen Skink for starters and mussels and lemon sole for the net, with one side of Broccoli, all fantastic! All in all, a great experience that will not be missed

Beautiful cute place with beautiful menu. The staff was so nice, my gf booked this place and asked them to write a happy birthday note on our table to which they committed themselves. Everything in the menu looks really good. I heard there is no children's menu that they only make smaller portions of what's on the menu.

Lucky to get a table without reservation. Menu looked expensive, but food excellently prepared (can be a little too much salt) place is very busy also on weekdays. Photos: Lemon sole, trout, hake. A total of 65 pounds.

Wonderful seafood dinner with beautiful views of the loch. We enjoyed our meal very much. Definitely recommend.
