Hello Folks - Fox Lake

The food at the restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend trying the fried mushrooms and the jalapeño popper burger. Asia, the bartender, is exceptional! However, I feel the owner should be more thoughtful about hiring practices and ensuring that candidates have the necessary qualifications before they’re brought on board. My husband worked there as a cook and enjoyed his job, but unfortunately, it came to an abrupt end because he didn’t have a management food safety certificate, which he wasn’t given the chance to obtain. Meanwhile, the cook who was there before him worked for seven weeks without having the certificate either. I understand the importance of following protocols, but these standards should be consistently applied to all employees.

I want to start by saying my bartender was amazing. She was kind and attentive. The reason for the single star is because of the food. The tacos are too small and not filled well at all. Not even worth the 1.00 a piece as it was mostly filler. If i wanted that id go to taco bell. Also the cook seemed unpleasant. Highly recommend for drinks, but not food.

My buddies and I come here rather frequently. Regulars are friendly, bartenders are attentive, plenty of pool tables, 2 dart boards. Good time
