Ristorante Garibaldi

Nothing will amaze you here, but also nothing should truly disappoint you. It's just a normal Italian restaurant, and it's big enough for groups.

I've been lived in Germany since 5 years. And I just want to share my most terrible experience ever since. At first the waiter told us that there were no table available at all, despite dozens of empty tables around. Then after few minutes of arguments he took us to a little corner of the hall. After 3 times trying to call somebody to made the order, a man come with apparently no patience at all, as he thrown spoons and forks on our table. As we clearly ordered water still. but what come next was water sparkling. We remained calm. Then the main dish, the so called Tagliolini with lobster. The noodle tasted totally normal. And what really fantastic was the lobster. The lobster was for 100% long dead before refrigerated. We didn't expect that it will be alive and fresh lobster. The texture and color of the flesh was like snivel. Many parts of the lobster was missing or darkened unusually. The taste is awful to describe. We called the chef instantly and they decided to make a new dish. Very soon the second dish came and was the same terrible. It means the lobster was never fresh cooked and they were just took out and warmed with noodles. The flesh remained in a terrible quality, and there was only very little of them in the giant hull of lobster. like the lobster had starved for several months before served in the kitchen. At the end, they asked for the dishes with ridiculous price, which was 50% more expensive than 2 months ago. So that'll be end of my review. I seldom write a review, partly because i'm lazy and most of the restaurants are satisfying. But this time, I just need to say something so you'll know the truth. And one Thing that i really don't want to say, that the waiter seemed to be nicer to other white customer. Maybe the reason that we got such a unprofessional service and terrible dishes was just our skin colour or our appearance?!

Five sisters and one brother have been meeting there for late lunch once a month for the last one and a half years - it has become a bit of a ritual to meet up on a regular basis because one of the sister's is on 'borrowed time'. Sometimes the partner's are ' allowed ' to join in , today for example was my second visit to the Garibaldi Ristorante. The friendly staff always seem to make the dinning event very relaxing with a nice and sometimes joking repertoire. The six ' sisters ' nearly always order their favorite dishes with the same fine tasting Proseco, they also savour the baskets of complimentary warm home made squares of bread that is served . The husbands tend to go for the piping hot lasagne or the tasty pizzas accompanied by draught Pils. If the food and atmosphere and the friendly staff weren't so genuinely appealing then why would they still be going there - speaks for itself or not? They'll be there again next month " come hail or shine ".

That's the 3 time that we return at Garibaldi restaurant. The environment of the personal is fantastic, they skip Italian and English. The food is very good and have many choices of pastas an pizzas. The starters are wonderful. They are a little expensive, but they are great

If you're looking for a nice, quiet location, this is not your place to be. This is one of the loudest restaurants I've ever been in, and they don't even play music. The acoustics of the room lead to high background noise when the restaurant is full - as is the case on most evenings.Pre-booking a table is highly recommended if you're more than two people.The waiters are charming - last time I was there the service was great, but at other times we had to wait for ages to re-order drinks after the first round. So don't expect the world here.The food, however, is very good. There are several vegetarian options and if you want your salad without tomatoes or have any other special requests, the kitchen usually adjusts the dish accordingly.You get good value for your money in an area of Frankfurt where most restaurants are rather pricey.
