The dismissive attitude in your response mirrors how I was treated when I inquired about the size of the cone at the window. While the ice cream was decent, the location is confusing. Without a flavor list outside and with a large crowd, there’s pressure to make quick decisions once you get inside. The staff also seemed indifferent and unfriendly. My wife ordered a junior cone, and after seeing hers, I decided to get a regular cone, which ended up being smaller than hers. I was told, “Well, it’s 2 scoops, so that’s a regular.” It's frustrating to be charged extra for cones that are the same size or even smaller—this feels misleading.
I haven't visited this place in quite some time, to be honest. I can recall the Freehold Raceway Trotters just about right across the street. On hot, humid summer nights, you could hear the occasional roar of the NHRA dragsters from Old Bridge Township Raceway Park while driving to Jersey Freeze with the windows down.
The best ice cream! I'm going to try the food next since I've heard it's really good and reasonably priced. I spoke to the owner, Matt, and he's a really nice guy.
Fantastic local gem! They serve the best ice cream and shakes. Their burgers and chicken are excellent as well. It's a wonderful value and a family-friendly, iconic place. It's consistently great!
Poor service from the teenagers. The waffle cone was stale and uneven. The ice cream flavors were just okay.
