La Sirenita - Freeport

We visit the Texas coast as often as we can, particularly Surfside Beach. By chance, we discovered La Sirenita and ended up dining there three times during our week-long stay. The gumbo was the most flavorful I’ve ever had! The seafood platter included six large shrimp, oysters, and three pieces of catfish, all served with fries and coleslaw—definitely more than enough to fill you up! I struggled to finish it all. Everything was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend giving it a try!

I want to express my gratitude to the amazing staff for serving the best food I've ever had, both at Surfside and anywhere else! Honestly, there's no need to dine anywhere else. Just come here and sample everything on the menu!

This is a fantastic place with delightful drinks—I truly enjoy it here. The food is tasty and fairly priced. The hot sauce is outstanding!

I had an amazing dining experience. We started with the oysters on the half shell, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. I ordered the snapper ponchatrain, and it was absolutely outstanding, while my wife loved the stuffed snapper, which was just as delightful. The service was excellent, and our food arrived quickly. If you go, you must try the michelada; it was just as wonderful as everything else. Overall, this was a fantastic seafood meal, a rarity in this area. We will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant was the fourth one we attempted to dine at on a rainy night, and we were fortunate to find it since the other places had waits of several hours. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was—by far the best we had that night. I'm definitely planning to return every time I'm in the area. We had a group of 18, and everyone raved about their meals. Every item on the menu is exceptional. What a wonderful discovery! A true gem.
