Írjon visszajelzéstWe have stayed in the area for the last 16 years and our first visit to Martinus on Sunday evening. Value for money, I think it's the best restaurant we have been to all these years! We chose the 33€ Menu which was 3 courses and the cheese board....every course was superb and particularly the steak main course was exceptional! The service was very good indeed and the wine was good quality and reasonably priced! The views were stunning watching the sunset over st raphael and frejus. We have just arranged to return with a group of friends when we come back here in September. An excellent evening
I was ordering a menu (starter, main plate, dessert.) Starter (salmon risotto) was ok, nothing bad to say, but nothing good either. For the main plate I needed to wait a lot and the restaurant was not even full and we are out of the season. When my main plate finally came (beef with mashed potatoes,) the beef wasn't well done as I had requested. It was burned around and completely raw in the middle. I needed to let my boyfriend finish it. There was no point to give it back to them as it was already burned around. For dessert, we needed to wait a long time before someone came to take our plates and asked if we needed the menu. We asked the menu which was never given to us, as they forgot us. Finally the same guy came and asked if we want the menus, when we told that we have decided already. The guy couldn't understand well English, so my boyfriend needed to re-say everything in French. Finally the dessert (lava cake) came and that I cannot complain, it was good, but it took 20 minutes after we finished the dessert before the server notified us as we were waiving the hand in order to get the bill. When we finally got the bill, we needed to wait super long time again before they actually came to take the payment and the bill was wrong. They tried to charge my menu choices separately and not as one menu. It took us almost 3 hours on the restaurant and everyone else who had came at the same time than us had left a long time ago.
We had walked about looking at the reccomended restaurants near by all of which were very over priced for what they served and one other was reasonable but no customers I crossed over the road to look at the hotel menu of the Van Dyke hotel and went in to ask if the menu of the day was served in the evening which it was a lovely restaurant with a view of the etange and sea and seat right in the window we chose the buffet starter which was very good lots of choices and my huband had steak and I had salmon and we both had lovely desserts only small complaint rather a big meal with three coursesthe pace was packed and I know they do receptions and take coach parties no hesitation in reccomending the best restaurant we think in St Agulf
We went for lunch for my husband's birthday. We chose the menu du jour as it includes the cold buffet (always good,) and is really good value. Excellent food as usual and a good bottle of red wine plus San Pellegrino water for 75 €.The view from the restaurant is beautiful, looking at the sea, and the sun came out just after we arrived.Highly recommend.
We have been to the restaurant in the Hotel St Aygulf on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. This month we went twice, once in a very large group (British Association) and again with our local boules group. Both meals were excellent, and the restaurant has wonderful views out to sea. Staff are always friendly and the prices are reasonable. Always happy to return
