As a fellow business owner, I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience with Bulldog catering was exceptionally terrible. Extremely poor/rude communication and was unwilling to work with us having to move our wedding date due to covid and ultimately ran off with our deposit. So glad we found a much better company to save the day.

My wife and I booked Bulldog Catering at the recommendation of a venue we had our wedding at, over a year in advance of our wedding. Little did we know that within that year so much alike change. We sat down for the introduction tasting with them, and enjoyed the food although the portions were somewhat small. We were assured multiple times over slabs over that the portions served at the wedding would be larger- which made sense so we just rolled with it. Once we were 6 months away from the wedding, we contacted Bulldog Catering asking what the possibility would be if getting square plates instead of round plates, which was one of the questions we originally asked when we paid for the deposit, and were assured as we get closer to the date- to contact them to make them aware of what we wanted, and they would accommodate our needs. Long story short, we called to confirm square plates, and were told that they absolutely couldn 't accommodate us which raised an immediate red flag. We ended up contacting the owner of the venue we had booked, only to find out that they had already fired Bulldog Catering from being their partner caterer. So at this point in time over 6 months out we asked Bulldog Catering if there was any possibility of getting some or all of our deposit back- because with over 6 months prior notice- we were hoping they would be able to book another event being it prime wedding season February-June. We were told that they couldn 't book another event, and our deposit of several thousands of dollars was non- refundable. We asked if they could possibly make us food for the several thousands of dollars that we had already paid them for, and they said this wasn 't possible unless we pay the total balance due. At that time, we decided to move on and choose another vendor, taking the loss and learning an invaluable lesson. Their food we wound rate 3.5 out of 5. It was their service and lack of attention to detail along with their original instruction of making us aware that multiple options would be available, yet when we asked, these options weren 't at all available. The overall communication was very limited when we were able to reach them, to the point that when we called in for our request- they didn 't even know who we were due to the fact that we had paid and booked so far out in advance. It seemed as if they had almost forgotten about us after tasting the food, signing the catering contract, taking our money. Hopefully they get their communication issues resolved, as that 's what ultimately led us to cancel our catering arrangement with Bulldog Catering. Overall, the experience was very bad, as after we had paid the initial food deposit- we didn 't hear from them what so ever prior to contacting them for the change request, of which we were informed prior would be a simple option change. If they would have simply communicated this information to us from the very start, we would have never bothered to waste all of the time as monies that we did.

Was not interested in my event. 45 people for a wedding, website said min 40 he told me he needed min 100...never offered other options. So I never actually hired them. Seemed like my event was not good enough for him...just my opinion....
