I love high tea! Assortments of teas, little sandwiches, and baked sweets. They are always unique so I was excited to try it here. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and felt I wasted my money. Sandwich breads were so hard the corners made “clinking” noises on the plate. The fillings had a hard film covering them, indicating they had been exposed to air for an extended period of time. The only sandwich that looked decent was the cucumber/cream cheese, but it was layered so thinly, the cheese soaked into the bread, leaving a 2” long flimsy slice of cucumber (so thin you couldn't bite through it) “Sweet treats” on top were equally as disappointing, while the Macarons were good, the mini muffins were out of place, and looked/tasted like grocery store finds. The experience was disappointing.
Everyone and everything was so perfect. The food here is so consistent and delicious!
The service was wonderful and the main dining room was very cute and was able to sit my group of 10. While the food portions were small and tasted mediocre the place was very cute.
First time there and won't go back for the tea service (not sure I want to to try out the rest of the menu). The tea service was meh. I made a reservation online specifically for tea service and when we were sat I had to tell the waiter that we were there for the tea service and it was our first time here so we weren't sure of how we were to order; the waiter just looked at us and said, “yeah it's all good, just pick a flavor of tea, hot or cold”. It's just a pot of hot water and individual tea bags...I was expecting a cup of hot tea already brewed like at the Dallas Arboretum or your own pot of already brewed tea like at Edith's (so sad that place is gone) to pour into your cup; it felt like I was ordering tea at a normal restaurant and not actual tea service. So that was a huge let down. The tea sandwiches and little desserts were good though. The actual service was absolutely horrible. Our waiter looked high as his eyes were super glazed over and not really present. He checked on us maybe 3 times the entire 2.5 hours we were there. We asked, “may we have some water please?”..he brought one glass (3 of us). We went on a Saturday at lunch time, sorta busy but the place is small so there aren't a lot of tables and yet we still had crappy service. So I don't think we'll be back.
