Chez Fernand - Gaillac

I had eaten here a few years back but memories were not strong. We had lunch for 6 of us mid week. We arrived and it was busy but they fitted us in. My parents are regulars and were warmly welcomed. The menu has a good mix. It's not flash food but decent portions of french food, delivered with a smile at very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly pleasant place,simple but good food,very friendly staff mostly but not all.boss himself is very nice and makes you very welcome and has a great sense of humour.food is served quickly and reasonable price.highly recommend.

Chez Fernand has always had a winning formula, this can be amply demonstrated back the lack of spare tables, even on a Tuesday lunchtime. We came here today with friends for a lunch and have been coming here for about nine years now.The food is plentiful and tasty the staff are very friendly and above all, the place offers great value for money.Shame we couldn't sit outside, but in mid March not surprising...If you are looking for a no frills, good value and friendly lunch stop, try Chez Fernand!

Good local food, reasonable prices, like many of the restaurants in Gaillac, but what what marks this busy establishment from the rest is the unfailingly warm welcome, not just from the eponymous owner, but from any of the staff who will greet you on entry. I confess I do not stray often from my favourite dish on the menu which appears on the place mat, but there are enough dishes there to satisfy most tastes. We go there regularly at lunchtime because the service is amongst the best in Gaillac. I can recommend the midday meal without hesitation.

We arrived after 1pm, a time when we have often been turned away by other establishments in France! Although the restaurant was busy we were able to find a suitable table. The menu is written on the place mat, apart from the dish of the day which is on the high tec display board. My dish of the day, mild chicken curry (in coconut milk sauce) with basmati rice was excellent and my husband and our friend both enjoyed their omelettes, served with copious salad
