Lillian's Music Store - Gainesville

The bartender asked me to leave for chatting with a homeless regular about his voting rights. After that, I went outside to the Opera House apartment building and tried to sit in a chair that was set up to deter homeless people from sitting there, but I ended up falling to the ground. A young man and I ended up tossing that chair in the trash. Thankfully, I'm now at Harry's!

I've been coming to this place for decades. The bartenders are fantastic, and they offer free popcorn! I enjoy the outdoor seating, especially during quieter times when I can soak in the atmosphere. The happy hour prices are a bonus, and I appreciate being able to watch TV while I'm there. I also love listening to the conversations around me – the crowd is wonderfully diverse.

I first visited Lillian's when it opened in the 80s. Back then, Bob was the owner—he was great! It was an amazing old music store run by Lillian. Honestly, there's no need to spend a fortune on a new sign when the vibe is already so cool, just like Tom Petty!
