I Bencini sono così, sinceri e genuini come i loro vini, quindi con questi due aggettivi non esitate a venire a trovarli e/o ordinare i loro Gallo nero !!! In primavera tornerò a testare la tavola... Grazie famiglia Bencini e a presto!
Il personale è molto gentile e preparato, con spiegazioni complete e dettagliate, il tutto abbinato a ottimo cibo e prodotti locali. La nostra degustazione ha incluso uno spumante, un bianco e 4 rossi (delle varie tipologie di chianti). Ad accompagnare, una bruschetta con pomodorini condita con l'olio di loro produzione, degli antipasti vegetariani, un piatto di pasta al ragù, tagliere di salumi e pecorino. Come conclusione, un buon dolce insieme al vin santo! Ottima location, con una vista molto bella... ci tornerò molto volentieri!
Our group of 6 had two memorable wining and dining experiences with Daniella and her assistant Christina. She obviously takes great pride in the food and wine of her region and the meals she prepared were simple but absolutely delicious. She explained the traditions behind all of the dishes and wines served. Their hard work is evident in the outstanding quality of everything that we sampled and we regard the time spent with her as one of our highlights of our trip to Italy.
Daniella is a super star. Not only does she own the winery she is also a fantastic chef. The wine tasting dinner was amazing. She takes the time to explain each wine in detail. Her hospitality exceeded our expectations. Nothing was rushed. Best meals we had in Tuscany. We returned more than once. With her assistant Christina they produced a wonderful evening. The winery is a labour of love for Daniella and her family and it shows. Even Cash the dog was exceptionally friendly. Thank from your new Canadian friends.
We were so fortunate to be staying in a villa that looks towards Casanova Di Ama and to discover Daniela’s restaurant and wine tasting early in our stay. We visited twice, firstly to do a tasting of her wines accompanied by local dishes and returned, because we were so impressed by both the wines and food, for a lunch without a repeat of the wine talk. We were surprised on the first occasion not just by the amazing quality of wines from such a relatively small producer but also by the generous portions of superb local food. The wine tasting was conducted by Daniela who in very good English gave us an extensive explanation of the types of wine her family produces, the differences between them and some history of the wine industry in Chianti. She greatly enhanced our understanding of Chianti wines and treated us to about five types and vintages one white and the rest red as well as giving us samples of their gorgeous Di Santo desert wine and home distilled grappa. For our return visit we left it to Daniela to decide what food to prepare, other than requesting vegetarian dishes for one, and she delivered several courses accompanied by both the 2015 Chianti Classico and 2016 Chianti Classico Reserva that we’d particularly enjoyed previously. Again she gave us a taste of the superb Di Santo, which it seems isn’t for sale by the bottle as it’s made in such tiny quantities, and to wrap it up a glass of their homemade Limoncello; which is a drink I’ve always found too sickly sweet but her’s had enough of a lemon tang to be absolutely delicious. Both the tasting and meal were truly excellent value, and the garden location is sublime. They can deliver mixed cases of their wines anywhere in Europe for 35 euros and with their best Reserva costing 20 a bottle this is a very attractive proposition. If you’re in this area and love Chianti, as we now do, and traditional Tuscan food, a visit to Daniela’s is an absolute must do.
