New China Buffet - Galax

The only American option I noticed was very limited; if they have any picky eaters in your group, they might struggle a bit since some Chinese buffets offer a decent selection of fast-food-style options. The actual salad bar had very few items and a limited selection of dressings. Fresh fruits were mostly restricted to cantaloupe and watermelon, although there were some canned options like mandarin oranges. The handful of desserts were typical of a Chinese restaurant, featuring small cakes and coconut macaroons, among others. The dining room and buffet area were clean, as were the restrooms. The building itself is dated, with most tiles showing signs of water damage. Service was good, though, and I think my family would like to return the next time we’re in the city.

This is the only place in Galax where you can find good Chinese food. They offer a nice selection and great value for your money. The tables are a bit close together, but that's not really an issue. If you order the shrimp, be aware that they may not be deveined. Overall, it's a fantastic option if you're looking for an affordable dinner for the family.

The buffet is quite good. I just wish they offered dishes like beef and broccoli as part of the selection. The prices are reasonable, and since it's all-you-can-eat, make sure to come hungry!
