Bodega Ridge - Galiano Island

Incredible experience! Chef Elmark truly exceeded expectations with his amazing flavors!

My friend and I drove all the way from Dionisio Point because the Galiano tourism map listed this place as having coffee and food. When we arrived, we noticed that many people were dressed in stylish, trendy outfits. The guy at the little food truck made us some fantastic oat lattes, but unfortunately, due to a wedding event happening there, there wasn't much food available. However, he later offered us some bread, probably feeling a bit sorry for us. Overall, it’s a pretty cool spot!

I have been looking forward to carrying out a wedding in Bodega for years and finally had the opportunity last week! I can't say enough good things about the experience! From the beginning it was a dream! Angie, the wedding and event coordinator, was timely and detailed. The wedding I had planned had many details and questions that were necessary to be answered before my customers could go forward and Angie answered every question in detail with speed of lightning, no detail or question too small. Angie is one of the most organized people I've ever worked with and made the planning process so much easier! Angie worked tirelessly to make sure my customers had all the information they needed. Angie and the Bodega team have an easy-to-navigate planning system to guide couples through the tasks that need attention when they need to be addressed. We planned the majority of the wedding during the thick of Covid, and she did everything in her power to rationalize this process, including virtual visits. During the time to the wedding, I was able to have a logistics meeting with the team to ensure a smooth event, and it was obvious that they took great care and pride to ensure that every single person visiting their weddings takes care. During the event itself the team was excellent! I don't think I've ever been a part of a wedding where so many guests expressed their appreciation for the staff who worked the event. The food was excellent (I still dream about it!, the wine selection thoughtful and intentional, and the team really worked together to ensure a perfect celebration for the guests. Carlin and James lead the team with care and were fantastic to work. I cannot say enough good things about my experience, and I hope to make many more weddings in Bodega Ridge on the beautiful island of Galiano. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this celebration a success! It was really an honor.

If you think about booking a wedding at Bodega Ridge, don't think twice and do it! We had many friends talking very much about the place and we ended a down payment before we ever see the place. It was a bit of a risk at the time, but after that was the best wedding planning decision we made. Angie Allen and James Langford are incredible contacts and helped run the weekend smoothly. The venue has created an intimate and relaxing atmosphere for our guests to join and have fun. The food was remarkable and we would highly recommend ordering paella, hanging steak and potatoes. Overall we could not imagine a better wedding and will look forward to our experience with Bodega.

I travelled to Galiano Island from Vancouver to stay at Bodega Ridge Feb 25-27 to celebrate my 35th birthday with a few girlfriends. Unfortunately, a downed tree on the island caused a power outage on the second night that lasted until check-out. The manager, James, was absolutely incredible and refunded the second night in it's entirely AND gave me a bottle of bubbly for my birthday! The cabin itself was rustic, but beautifully furnished and the grounds were immaculately kept. I was so impressed with their excellent customer service in a situation beyond their control and look forward to returning to Bodega Ridge in the future.
