Hands down the best burgers and riders and hand dipped tweebel rings on the island! add them to the amazing customer service that the girls offer and they have a great meal! the prices are also amazing, especially for the island!

Try this place for lunch and strongly recommend it if you want to eat freshly prepared. we had a cheeseburger and a shrimp poboy with fries and everything was excellent. they also have a daily special that we can try next time. this place has great food for very cheap prices for galveston. we're coming back!

That was our first visit to mel’s. the double meat hamburger special was incredible. it was huge and it was the best burgers and pommes I ever tasted. requisit to the whole personal, especially rebecca. can not wait to try anything else! tlow 7/19/21

I wouldn't normally go to a convenience store for lunch, but the reviews drew me in and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was made to order, the burger was huge and so tasty. I will be returning soon.
