Waterman Seafood Grill - Galveston

I've been visiting this restaurant once a year for the past four or five years during my girls' weekends in Galveston. The location is perfect for where I stay, and I love that there’s dedicated golf cart parking right at the entrance. The spacious outdoor deck is a fantastic spot to sit in the evening and watch the sunset over the water. I've never been there when it’s crowded since we usually have our meals by the windows. It does seem a bit odd that we’re often among the last to leave at 9:30. The service is friendly, and the food is tasty, although it’s a little pricey for what you get.

This is a lovely restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. The crawfish étouffée was incredible, and the brownie was outstanding. I've found my new go-to spot whenever I visit the island!

UPDATE: Waterman has recently reopened as of the fifth week of May 2012. I frequent Galveston, and I highly recommend checking this place out! They are now open every day from 11 AM to 11 PM. Downstairs, there's a casual sandbar that’s perfect for a quick meal when you're out on your boat. The sandbar operates from 11 AM to 4 PM, while the more upscale dining is available upstairs from 4 PM to 11 PM. The restaurant features a brand new marina where you can dock your boat for dinner. It’s a very family-friendly spot. On Fridays and Saturdays, there's live music at the sandbar, creating a lively atmosphere, and the service is OUTSTANDING. Definitely give it a visit! P.S. Don’t miss out on the “Shrimps Kissing” dish—it’s a customer favorite!

Neat Place. This is a cool place that is a bit away from the tourist path. All we had here was great. My personal favorite is the Shrimp Kisses. Garlic Calamari was a big hit with the girlfriend. It's a bit expensive, but it's worth it!

First time to dine at Waterman's and oh man we were not disappointed at all. Surf and Turf Platter was so delicious and the Seabass over risotto was just as good. Not only was food good our server Natalia was a gem. She provided us with excellent service. Definitely will be going back.
