Blake's - Galway

Was here with a group 25th Nov. I have had the pleasure of fine dining but was surprised to find the standard of service here exceeded most 2 star place. It's so unusual in Galway to find this. The staff took the order and delivered each person the dish they ordered with no disruption to our conversation with asking who ordered what. They knew who had ordered and placed the food on each persons setting. The food was of high quality and great value. Well done staff and management team for the high quality. Can't praise you enough. Have a great Christmas

Great food, good service. A bit noisy, but I'd go back.

I have a coffee or a beverage at Blake's Bar sometimes and I genuinely do like the staff. The manager is a gentleman. I was having a bad day today and he gave me a nice cup of tea without charging me. I was actually very touched by his act of generosity, kindness, Human Decency and Respect that let's be fair, most or nearly all workers in restaurant/bars, even cafes do lack nowadays. This is what's missing in people today but it's nice to see these traits are still in some people. It costs nothing to be nice and treat someone with respect! I'm very happy and comfortable to come here for my cuppa coffee or pint every day or two. The manager along with naturally friendly, working hard staff (including the chefs and kitchen porters in which I have the odd chat with) are great overall. Atmosphere is dead on, friendly and cheerful.Its a more than a top place to dine out in. Child/family friendly but people can have the craic having a few pints/cocktails too. The banter! There is a healthy balance of the place being sophisticated yet fun! Overall it's my favorite place to chill and have my cuppa coffee in by far! I would recommend 100% to all people.

Lovely food, great service. Helpful, friendly staff. Great steaks, but had chicken dish this time also really good.

We went to Blake’s for our last lunch in Ireland today. Ulick the bartender reminded us of why we love to travel. He was so nice and funny and welcoming like most people we have met in Ireland. Not to mention the fabulous food and drinks! ‘It’s the little things’ that make traveling to various countries and meeting new people so enjoyable.
