Star BBQ - Garden Grove

When it comes to KBBQ, my family is only here because my mother likes the coffee ice cream! We don't eat too often KBBQ, but if we do, it's here. There is always a waiting period during dinner. From March 2022 only the front dining room is open. Service is usually good, everyone is always nice and helpful. If they are secured, then it can be a tad slow, but it is not the server errors. You always see how they try their best with every table. The food is good. I'm not an expert on meat cuts and everything so I wouldn't be able to go into detail, but I enjoyed everything I ate and I ate everything. We've been here for years. Be friends or family. When we mention the KBBQ, Star always comes up. We always leave full and happy. It's a tradition that won't be broken soon.

I recommend adding your name to the waiting list before arrival. We got them and had to wait for half an hour. The bar and the bartender were incredible. His name is Paul. Cool guy, he was talking. We got up!! once we ate, the food was delicious. Fast service, the waiters were super cool, easy to talk!! I recommend this place.

My daughter wanted to get a kbbq for dinner and we decided to come to Star BBQ. We're afraid we have to wait for a long line because it's NYE. To our surprise we sit after 20 minutes. Our meat order came quite fast and we are ready to grill. We have 10% for the payment of the bill in cash and we enjoyed the caramel ice cream afterwards.

Service and food were good. Great price for AYCE too. However I have to knock off a star because the wait for a table was so long. My party of 4 was waiting outside to be seated for 90 minutes. When they finally let us in, no other parties had left the restaurant in the preceding 15 minutes. Yet, the entire section of the restaurant they took us to was empty! It left us questioning what the wait was for.
