Char 1788 - Gardiner

Everything at Tuthill is fresh and revamped: new chef, new menu, and new owners. While it was inconsistent in the past, that's no longer the case. The service is always excellent, the ambiance is lovely both inside and out, and the friendly bartenders, Sean and Patrick, have elevated the staff and management experience. It's truly wonderful to have such a gem right here in Gardiner.

We took the family out on New Year's Day, and everyone enjoyed a lunch that satisfied our youngest's appetite as well as our own. My wife and I plan to return for a romantic dinner and to explore more options on the menu.

This is our second year celebrating New Year's Eve here, and the experience was delightful. The food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was fantastic—she was friendly and assisted us in selecting the best dishes to order. We will definitely be returning!

The food and ambiente were both great. unfortunately it took an hour to get our food (and they were not particularly busy). they were very apologetic about it and gave us a free drink, but there was still a damper on the experience.

Hard to explain, but this place is just excellent. The service is simply the best the ownership must take a real interest in the workers, each is as pleasant as can be. Everything I've ever ordered is delicious portions are fair. Reservations will insure you a spot. Go early for a tasting. Dessert's are best with a cup of coffee, which is outstanding.
