Golden City Chinese - Garland

For a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, Golden City is not too bad. Fiancé typically orders delivery from this spot and they always deliver quickly in about 20-30 minutes. Food is American Chinese and it isn?t too bad. Items we like are egg drop soup, orange chicken, sesame chicken, tofu with vegetables, and egg foo young. I don?t recommend the fried rice. There isn?t any wok hei flavor to it. Since we don?t live closer to Chinese food hotspots, Golden City will do.

Food is cooked fresh and tasty every time. My favorite is deluxe roasted rice.

Used to love this place when it was May China. Asked for a large hot sauce with my order and she said they would charge extra, I said fine. When I got home NO LARGE HOT SAUCE. The fried rice is Mexican rice NOT FRIED. Sad!

Zero stars. Ordering the delivery of this place for the first time. The crabs were boiled over and the chicken wings were boiled over where we could not eat them and tasted the beef. I'll never order from here again.

I stopped by for lunch and was greeted by welcoming and friendly staff. The lunch specials were fairly priced. I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken with lo mein, and everything was excellent. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner, and I had no trouble finding parking. The dining area was clean and spacious, making for a pleasant experience.
