Firehouse Subs Garner

I have been going to this restaurant ever since I started working at the shopping center a few months ago. During this time, I have come to love the welcoming atmosphere that the staff create. Reese and Corbin, along with the others whose names I can't recall, are friendly, quick, and precise. The food is tasty, don't get me wrong, but it's the committed employees who have built relationships with customers that set this sandwich shop apart from its competitors.

The restaurant was clean and well-organized, the staff was very friendly and efficient at the cash register, although slightly impersonal. The service was quick and timely.

It has been a while since I last visited Firehouse Subs. I recently received a free medium Hook and Ladder sandwich from T-Mobile. Their hot subs are a nice change from the typical cold sub shops. The sandwich was delicious, with a slightly sweet sauce that was different from the usual mayo, lettuce, and tomato toppings.

Over price very small parts, very tasty though. I have the turkey jerk under. the sauce was good.

Normally I give good reviews, however I can't help with this one. First of all I have been to this and other Firehouse locations and enjoyed them. This time not so much. My wife and I ordered two subs and drinks etc. When we got to the drink machine there was no ice, no paper towels, other than a roll sitting on a table close by and hardly anything else. When we asked for ice we were told it would be a while. We had to ask again after our order was ready. We were handed a cup of ice. There were employees four I believe, hardly anyone to serve, maybe five guests while we were there. Tables were not being cleaned, still no ice was put in the machine. No explanation or apology or excuse. Also no bottles of hot sauce in sight nor did anyone ask if we would like some. Our food was not prepared well, not hot, and sloppily put together.I understand the covid situation but no masks were worn by employees as well. Probably won't be back until it's fixed.
