B&j Smokehouse &bbq - Gastonia

They are closed down. Out of business. No longer there. I wish they were. I can't find ANY BBQ here in Gastonia. And don't say the smoke pit or Roe's. Just don't!

ITS CLOSED!!!!!! The owner should go on and acknowledge that the business is closed. The phone number doesn't even work. No cars anywhere around to be seen. Wasted our time driving there! Very disappointing!

Well, I almost don't want to review this place because it'll become too popular, but I know it deserves the praise. The owner is an honest and hard working guy that makes some out of this world BBQ. I don't know how he's able to make such amazing BBQ working by himself but not only that, the sides especially the mac cheese and baked beans can really stand up to the fingerlicking tastiness of the BBQ. We ended up getting a little of everything available at the time which somehow came out to $20 per person (including a drink): pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, cabbage, beans, and m c. We ate in silence because we were savoring every bite. Wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this gem more often!Caveat: I'm an out of towner but I do have family in Texas (visited multiple times a year before the pandemic) and know a little bit about BBQ.

Best brisket I've ever had, and I've had a lot of brisket

Dont be fooled by the outside... This place is amazing. Great tasting food and the friendliness people... Everything is fresh and delicious... Im very picky where i spend my money these days and I dont bother to go anywhere else if i want good food at a good price.
