Armenian Kitchen Food Stall - Gateshead

We ate in the Armenian Home restaurant for a family meal. It was fabulous. The food is simply divine and as authentic as it can be. This is the second time in 2 weeks. We are over the moon that they are now open and will be coming for our fix of Armenian food every weekend forever(hopefully).

Armenian food has a range interesting flavours which are not common in English food. Healthy, cheap and delicious. We tried the sharing platter to try as many different dishes and were very pleasantly surprised. The spinach dessert cakes were particularly good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our meal.

We came across this restaurant while looking for takeout options and decided to try something new. Unfortunately, we ordered the Armenian Feast Platter for 2-3 people, but found the portion sizes to be very small for the price. The food was tasty and well presented, but we felt that we would have been better off ordering individual dishes instead. The breads were flat and crisp instead of fluffy as shown in the pictures, and the chips we ordered were also very small in portion size. Overall, we were not impressed with the takeaway experience and would only consider dining in at the restaurant when it reopens. We feel that for the same price, Lebanese or Turkish restaurants offer better value for money with larger portion sizes.

My two daughters and I had a meal at this restaurant last Saturday night. I was hesitant at first, but I'm so glad my daughter convinced me to go. The restaurant is small but has a wonderful vibe and atmosphere. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The food was delicious, fresh, filling, and reasonably priced. It was also very authentic Armenian cuisine. Parking is available outside the restaurant. This family-friendly restaurant is definitely worth a try. I would highly recommend it.

I have ordered takeout from Armenian Kitchen twice now, and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. I can't wait to dine in at the restaurant when it reopens. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family, and I will for sure be eating here again.
