Ober Lounge - Gatlinburg

The mountain bike trails are very fun, but be advised that there is really only one beginner friendly trail. The majority of the downhill park is for riders with at least moderate experience. The trails are very enjoyable; hopefully they can add a few more trails and add some more banks to a few turns. I will definitely be back to enjoy the trails.The mountain coaster is a pretty miserable experience. It took forever to get through the line; the process to get riders through the experience is pretty inefficient. Also, the track seems like it was slapped together compared to most other mountain coasters. The ride is extremely rough and causes pain if you don't hit the brakes. The carts seem pretty cheap as well. It does not inspire confidence in safety compared to other mountain coasters in the area.The food wasn't too great either. For the prices they charge, you'd expect a lot better.

It was great to visit Ober Mountain Amusement Park.Ober Mountain Aerial Tramway, Mountaintop Amusement park, Mall, Tennessee flyer, Alpine Slide, Scenic Chairlift, Rock Wall, Summer Tubing, Ice Bumper Cars, Jump Pillow, Carousel, Chair Swings, Bears everything was amazing. We all family from elders and kids everyone enjoyed. Wristband experience of good and cost effective.

I spent the day with my son and husband watching them ride the trails of the new downhill mountain bike park with chair lifts and checking out the rest of the park. Bottom line, it’s awesome! I’ll start with the mountain bike portion, but it’s important to mention this place can be a destination for the entire family; bikers, non-bikers, little ones to grandparents.We arrived at opening and had the place to ourselves. We brought our own bikes, but for $49 each could’ve rented a brand new Specialized Status with 160 mm of travel, dual suspension of course, Fox full face helmets with chest, knee and elbow pads for kids to adults. The bike area fee (includes the lift) for the day is also $49 and includes access to all of the other activities in the park.The bike area has a designated mountain biker chair lift. The power company was there when we arrived and had the electric shut off to the lifts. Not an issue. They had multiple UTV’s going up and down the mountain with the option to pull 16 bikes in a special bike trailer, if needed. The power came back on quickly and the chair lifts started up.There are 11 bike trails. Three greens, four blues, three black diamonds and one double black. My husband and son took all of the trails. The green were my style. Fast, flowy, pure fun with beautiful views. Nothing too technical. Perfect for the novice rider. The blues had some advanced features with options to go around or roll over. The blacks were steep, loamy tech trails. Super fun.Besides biking, there were so many activities for the entire family. Ice skating, alpine coasters, gondola rides to the top of the mountain where surprisingly they have a live bluegrass band playing! Also, a wildlife area that was basically a small zoo with black bears, otters, bobcats and other animals. It was such a cool place with so much potential. Check it out if you’re in the area. Bonus points if you get to see one of the local, wild black bears living in the area! — at Ober Mountain.

Grear views from the mountain top and love the rides up there. Very impressed that when I went to purchase our passes $49 each) &we needed 4 for our group that they asked if anyone was in the military. I replied yes and showed my ID, I figured they gave a off but to my disbelief my wrist band was free! Thank you, I came here for the great views of the mountains but left with a greater appreciation of the people here and this business. God Bless!

The family had a great time. The Wildlife Habitat was very clean for the animals. The activities are suited for almost all ages. They also just recently opened up a Downhill Mountain Biking trail system with an easy, intermediate, and advanced course. so if you enjoy bike riding I strongly recommend trying it out. The only activity we didn't get to do was the Ice Skating. It was down for maintenance.
