Írjon visszajelzéstThe fish and chips at this restaurant are amazing. They are just as good, if not better, than those from the high-end fish and chip shops in Brisbane. The fish and chips are fresh, clean, and delicious. This takeout spot in the valley is something to be proud of!
As regular customers, we typically enjoy well-cooked, fresh, and reasonably priced fish and chips at this restaurant. The calamari used to be a standout dish with beautifully thick, tender pieces cooked to perfection. However, recently it has become thinner and often overcooked, possibly due to David's reduced involvement in the kitchen. Overall, while the quality may have dipped slightly, this place still serves some of the best fish and chips inland, and even rivals those found on the coast.
Way over-priced, don’t believe the fish of your choice is genuine, most likely Thai grown fish frozen and shipped from the sea-sewers off shore (have seen them) but most fish shops these days pull the same stunts! Also open /closing times are random at best! Going back to WA where we know Red Emperor from Red Schapper and the finest fish in the Sea Blue Bone.
For one point this place is never open, when it is they employ kids who are totally disinterested! Absolutely on another planet!
Sue and I have been riding/driving out to the Sea Merchant in Gatton for years. Their selection of Fresh seafood is beyond reproach , and this recommendation coming from a born and bred coasty [Tweed Heads]. Their cooked offerings are equally delightful. We normally indulge in a serving of Bear battered chips, crumbed Whiting and 'home made' potato scallops. David and Denise and their helpful staff are so accommodating, they will happily prepare and cook any of their fresh seafood while you wait. You can dine in or take away, a favourite of ours is Lake Apex where there is a plethora of picnic tables and huts and a lovely walk around the lake to walk of your meal and open areas for children to play.
