The Dhaba - GAU

I ordered a chicken biryani for 120 rupees and it was delicious. The waitstaff was helpful and the tandoori dishes are particularly tasty, especially popular for takeout. The restaurant gets busy during the Pujas.

Situated on the busy G N B Road, you will get the noises coming from the traffic on the road.But the sound diminishes as the food is served(I feel like that way).I visit this place on a busy weekday(14th Sept ,2015) but the restaurant was full to 80% of its capacity.Even though I was really impressed with their service.It was pretty quick.I noticed they had a large number of efficient staff.When ever you visit try their butter naan,butter chicken.Even though all their dishes are tasty.The great USP is their low price.Its totally Value for Money.A meal for two costs between Rs 400-500.It is very easy to locate ,situated next to Goswami Service and opposite to Abhishek motors.The only drawback is there of parking space.

I understand that the name suggests an ambiance similar to dining next to a highway, but I personally do not enjoy eating near a busy city street without any walls to shield me from the smoke, smog, and dust. The food is delicious, which is why I occasionally visit or order takeout, but I struggle to dine in at this restaurant.

It is a simple eatery but the food is excellent and not pricy at all.The waiters are curteous. I suggest the Mutton curries all variations and the Tandoori breads. quick in quick out great food

You need your good old North Indian dhaba fix every now and then. Have been to this place a few times and last week brought the whole family over for dinner. The name says it all; it's a dhaba on a busy city street (GN Bordoloi Road) with the ambience to match. We tucked into naans, veg biryani, mushroom chilli curry, chicken masala and mutton liver fry. Like always, the service was prompt, food dhaba dellicious and the ambience welcome. Light on the pocket too.
