Tomodachi Izakaya 2.0 - Geelong

This was my second visit for sashimi, and it wasn't quite the best experience. I ordered the seafood spaghetti special, which is a bit unusual for a Japanese restaurant, but it turned out to be really generous, loaded with calamari and prawns.

We visited the sister restaurant on Little Malop Street and enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service there. So we decided to give this one a try. Unfortunately, the decor felt very bland and could belong to any type of restaurant. There was a large screen displaying its playlist, which seemed out of place. The food was decent, but I had to request that my drink be filled at least to the marker. We also wanted water and had to ask where to find it, which is unusual for a restaurant. Overall, we won’t be returning and will look for another option instead.

Fantastic food, but quite noisy. The staff is friendly and the location is excellent.

Here's a sweat. When I sat down with my family, I immediately knew I didn't want to be there. there was no cordial greeting from the employees, felt as if they would support us through the service to us. the food was terrible, it didn't taste like authentic Japanese food to which they connect. I would say that eating was under the average. it was more like eating poor man with overly expensive menu. I would go for mcdonald if I had to compare, that's all they need to know.
