Skovshoved Kro - Gentofte

Had a fantastic lunch of a traditional danish mixed dinner plate. Great service! The hotel as well. Parking close.

I was there with 3 old friends for dinner, we waited 1.5hr for our food!!!!! pretty good for a so called posh and snobby place. There were umteen excfuses as to why our food had been served yet. People came after us and received their food before us!!! Strange. At one point they told us that the fish we ordered took time on the pan.... we ordered stegt flask normally the pork takes longer than the fish.... I 've never experienced anything like it. If it wasnt for my old friends I would have walked out. When we paid I told the waiter to either Knock off 50% or go get the boss. He had to check. He came back and offered us to Knock off the bottle of wine that we had..... poor poor poor service.I wouldnt necessary go back.

Just went here for a drink after a round of golf on a nearby course. Very nice and “homey” feel to the place and the staff was very friendly. Looked like a place that would serve decent food as well.

We went to Skovshoved kro without a reservation in advance and got lucky to get a table outside facing Strandvejen and a glimpse of Øresund. The portions were generous and tasted really nice, just like a home made meal would do, the service was friendly and the wine was quite affordable. Definitely will come back thank you for a cozy evening!

Nice place, with old fashion dishes at a great price. I got a country chicken which I was pleased with; the salat was ok, the dressing was good and baked potato was neat with a well seasoned butter. The chicken itself was backed in a regular Danish fashion. Overall great especially given the size (a healthy portion) and the 120 DKK cost.
