Newk's Eatery - Germantown

My wife and I visited this restaurant and were warmly welcomed by the staff. I ordered her famous salad, while my wife chose the Tortilla soup. Both dishes were generously portioned and delicious. However, the true highlight of our experience was Mrs. Trish, who worked the floor with a remarkable dedication to her guests. When my wife asked for tortillas, Mrs. Trish brought me a small cup of soup to accompany the tortilla chips. I also tried to get up to refill my drink, but she insisted I stay seated and brought it to me herself. I observed her as she greeted each incoming guest with a warm hello and a heartfelt goodbye, remembering many customers and expressing her eagerness to see them again. It was a delightful experience to enjoy great food in the presence of such a warm-hearted person who genuinely loves her job and takes care of her patrons. We will definitely be back!

This Newk's in Georgetown really knows how to do it! They outshine the one in Cordova! If you're looking for fresh and delicious food, this is the place to go!

Best Newk has arrived in town! I’ve visited three times recently, and each experience with the staff, food, and service has been excellent.

The Germantown location has seriously declined since the pandemic. I understand the challenges like staffing shortages, inflation, and the need to manage costs, but this restaurant might as well shut its doors. The staff is rude and indifferent, and prices have gone up while portion sizes have shrunk. I've been a loyal fan of Newk's for over 10 years, but after my most recent visit, I’m done. I paid $15 for a half sandwich and a half cup of soup, only to have my meal essentially thrown onto the table, with the server already halfway across the room before I could even say thank you. They no longer serve food on dishes like they used to; everything comes in small takeout portions in plastic containers. This has been the case for several visits now, so it's with a heavy heart that I say I won't be coming back. While the food was still good, the overall experience was simply awful.

When my wife requested some tortillas, Trish kindly brought me a small cup of soup to try along with the tortilla chips. I also attempted to go refill my drink, but she insisted I stay seated and filled it for me. I noticed her greeting every person who entered and bidding farewell to those who left, often expressing how much she looked forward to seeing them again. It was a delight to enjoy such good food in the company of someone so passionate about her job and dedicated to her guests. We will definitely be returning.
