Francis Ford Coppola Winery

Wonderful winery...very well layed out...easy to get around for seniors . Food and service were great also. A great day was had by all.

Extremely disappointed! The staff is greatly inefficient.

We always take our visitors to Francis Ford Coppola’s Winery when they visit the United States.

Used to be awesome. Now, most of the key touches that took this place from good to awesome are cut back: (1) no longer get to choose your seats/cabannas, (2) no more free welcome spritzer drink, (3) menu poolside shrunk significantly and quality has declined. On a recent trip, paid $20 for this sad excuse of a Cobb salad (see picture). They used to have great poolside food excellent pizza choices, great tuna and ceasar salads. Bummer.

Nice place with a whole country club feel, pool, restaurant, tasting room and abundant Coppola film memorabilia. Unfortunately the wines are totally average, simple, basic wines. I’m a sommelier and worked in the industry for years. So I go for the wine. And I don’t like paying $25 for four sips of wine. The whole atmosphere is a bit too much, the wine is a secondary thing. Really not geared towards serious wine drinkers. A whole mish mash of many different varietals, ordinary in quality. Still, the grounds were pretty and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Might go back for the pool someday.
