We decided to try Carluccio's due to their gluten-free options, though we were a bit unsure after reading negative reviews on Yelp.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Carluccio in the past, where he signed his last book for me. My former employee organized a dinner in his honor, and I found him to be a very pleasant man who took the time to chat with everyone he met, including guests and employees. The combination of an Italian deli, food store, and restaurant seemed like a good idea to me, and I had already planned to visit one in Glasgow. I was eager to see if it lived up to the reputation of the great man himself.

Beautiful staff, good eating. I wanted a quick early dinner on a Monday night and thought most places would be empty and boring, but carluccio had a very nice ambiente on a cool autumn night. the staff were friendly and efficient and manager(ess) was a particularly beautiful lady. the food was delicious. music good and not too loud. the selection of the timelines was practically for the lonely. it was quite busy for a Monday night, so other people must also enjoy it!
