First Last visit. Myself and a friend decided to try here at the weekend as our favourite Indians Saffron lounge was closed for refurbishment. We were seated to a table to which was squashed beside another table and a radiator it wasn't an ideal location as I am heavily pregnant and felt like we were imposing on the other table as we were that close to them. We ordered our food and mines wasn't that great my friend enjoyed her meal though.Towards the end of the evening the staff just seamed to lounge around and not pay much attention to the remaining customers , it was a bit like we had been left.Don't see me returning for another visit I expected better things from the restaurant.

All in all it was a really good meal, the service was great, the food excellent and the atmosphere very relaxed and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend looking past the outside decor to the extensive and varied menu awaiting within. But don't get a naan each!

I highly recommend going beyond the outdoor seating area to explore the extensive and diverse menu inside. However, I would advise against ordering the naan bread.

Best Indians on the south side. service and eating are always fantastic. I have takeaways, used groupon vouchers and paid full price and can honestly not fail error-free service and eat. the curries are always of a high standard, not even oily and the portions are a good size. shimilas offers good quality eating to a high standard cooked.
