Hillhead Bookclub - Glasgow City

The menu looked very promising as the reviews, but at the end the food did not fulfill my expectations. the parts were a little too small. the vegan katsu curry lacked sauce and rice, but it tasted fine. the vegan kebab was something too spicy and the sauce was overwhelming. the sticky toffee pudding was dry and simply not good enough. the biscoff brownie was very tasty. I think hillhead bookclub is a cool place to make drinks, but I will not recommend dinner here if you want a good time and good food. there was a dj and discoball so that it is not really peaceful and quiet.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! huge portions and really great selection of vegan foods available.

Our first day in glasgow and thought we would try here as it was local where we stayed at a typical constant rain summer day. see online and saw that they offer meat free Mondays offer, with 25 percent of any non-meat court. we ordered as a mixed group (i.e. not all veggie / vegan) and some Parmesan friries were on the bill. when we came to pay the discount was not applied. when the server was interrogated, was it because of the Parmesan friars?? it could not be disturbed to argue about it, but will not go back another thing is that I had ordered a pickleback, but they did not have the ingredients and with the biscoff brownie they did not have the vegan ice cream as per menu. the weekly vegan special was .a falafel wrap updated by previous review on 2022-08-15

The place is very nice inside and the vegan breakfast is really delicious. the vegan burguer is also beautiful.

We ordered the tofu Katsu curry and a mushroom risotto. Vegan cheesecake for dessert! Everything tasted great, would come back.
