Nishi-ya - Glendale

The sushi here is simple, delicious, and has a truly authentic flavor. It’s quickly become my favorite spot in town. Space is limited, so be sure to make a reservation if you want to guarantee a table.

This restaurant offers outstanding, top-quality fish and a generous omakase experience. The owners and chef are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Don't be misled by the simple location and unpretentious setting; while the atmosphere is laid-back, the sushi served here is truly exceptional.

This is undoubtedly the best sushi place around, truly in a league of its own. Don't be deceived by the strip mall location or the simple decor; the fish here is exceptionally fresh and expertly sliced. My 9-year-old son, who is quite the sushi enthusiast, absolutely loves it, making it our go-to sushi restaurant. Be sure to try the Toro, Snapper, and Halibut—they're exceptional. My son would argue that the blue crab hand roll is his top choice, though. Keep in mind that this isn’t the place for rolls or typical American-style sushi; this is authentic Japanese cuisine. It’s a hidden gem, and I almost hesitate to share this because I don’t want my favorite spot to become too crowded. You’re in for a fantastic experience!

The fish is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. My nine-year-old son, who has developed quite the taste for sushi, absolutely loves it, making this our go-to sushi spot.
