The hushpuppies served with maple syrup and powdered sugar were simply delicious. We ordered ribeyes accompanied by red potatoes, and here's my barometer for good food: if I feel the need to reach for the salt, something has gone wrong. I found myself looking at the salt shaker, questioning its purpose. The fact that no seasoning was needed is a true testament to the quality of the food. Dining here feels like enjoying a five-star meal in a casual setting. For just $70, we had two steaks, four sides, two drinks, and all-you-can-eat hushpuppies, which was less than what I usually spend at restaurants in downtown Savannah. This place has certainly made a mark on my list of favorites. The food is undeniably worthy of reservations and fine napery. I highly recommend making the drive to experience it for yourself—you won't regret it. And I must mention, they serve the absolute best banana pudding I've ever tasted, even better than the sweet potatoes they’re known for. Go and see for yourself!
I absolutely love their BBQ sauces, hot sauces, and salad dressings. I've been buying them from their gift shop for years. Whenever we have out-of-town guests, they always ask us to either take some when we visit or to bring them back when we leave.
I had a great experience at this restaurant, and it definitely won't be my last visit. The shrimp and grits were fantastic, and the baked oysters were also excellent. The shrimp and steak dish was good, but not exceptional. Everything was freshly prepared, which I appreciate. However, I had to wait an hour for the food, so I can't give a full five stars.
Easy to find. We have the burger basket.
