Írjon visszajelzéstThere was no butter in the banh mi, the pork was too dry for my liking and the bread was VERU crunchy.
Had Banh Mi today. Can't understand why I needed an alert monitor for a basic order and not many customers. It didn't taste like Banh Mi I had tasted before. The problem I have is I asked for no coriander, I tasted some, took another bite and there was another leaf of coriander. I hate coriander, can taste the smallest piece and had to throw out the roll.Won't be going back.
I enjoyed the vegetarian and lemongrass beef cold rolls. Thought the staff were quite nice and it was very clean.
Adelaide is blessed for Vietnamese cuisine, especially in the suburbs. But a shopping centre Vietnamese outlet is a good development. Big selection of cold rolls looked good but I opted for my Vietnamese favourite - "Pho ga" - that vibrant broth with noodles and chicken. I can name a dozen places around the city where this is a joyous lunch selection. But not at Roll'd!The broth was insipid, the chicken scarce and no condiments like chilli or hoisin to embellish the dish. Try some other selections maybe but Pho? Don't bother!!
Tried the new "Rolld" at Burnside Village this week. Was looking forward to a new cuisine coming to the shopping centre. They offer a variety of food from cold rolls, Banh Mi, Pho, Bun etc etc. The place is new and looks fresh and inviting. The ordering system is slow given that there weren't many customers - early days!I purchased two chicken and avocado cold rolls for $7.80. I was surprised as the cost, which I consider high given the general market for cold rolls. The city offers a great variety of little outlets where you can get 3 (smaller ones) for $5. I thought they were bland and overly filled with rice noodles (hence why they are large in the first place). Even with the dipping sauce and few added herbs, they were tasteless. Overall, they charge high end prices for food I can buy in the city for less. Are they investing too much on the premises than the food only time can tell. Will I give them another go, yes, I would like to try their pho, bun salads and Bahn Mi rolls to compare those to great little outlets you find around the city.
