Írjon visszajelzéstWhen the three of us arrived first, we ordered two pints of Coors and a pint of Strongbow on draft, but were told they were out. The same response came for Guinness; we think it was San Miguel or Peroni, but we can't remember which one we ended up with. The server informed us that there had been a delivery on Tuesday, and this was Saturday. To top it off, it was 'Grand National' weekend! When the last two members of our party arrived, one was drinking Kopparberg bottled fruit cider, only to discover there were only two bottles left. One of the initial three decided to treat us to a bottle of Prosecco, which was available, but to our surprise, there were no flutes, especially since they advertised 'Fizz Weekends'! One of our group asked the server if the 'National' could be televised, and she replied no, as the television screens were linked. Another member then asked a staff member who was cleaning tables while the other was at the bar. She said she would check, and upon returning, informed us that the pull-down screen would indeed show the 'National.'
I dined at this restaurant with my family tonight (07/03/20) and had a disappointing experience. The lasagna was overcooked, the two rump steaks were tough, and one of the chicken platters had a stray hair in it. Before discovering the hair, my meal was carelessly served, and the salad ended up all over my wife. By the time they brought me a replacement, my family had already finished their meals. I requested to have my meal packed to take home, but it was served in a dirty, grease-covered ice cream container. Although I was offered a refund for my meal, I didn’t feel comfortable taking home my food in such a dirty container. Honestly, this place was better when the rats were around.
The food portions were generous—there was certainly a lot of it! However, it was a bit bland and nothing to write home about, which I suppose is to be expected given the low prices. Overall, it offers decent value for money. As for the beer, they had two options of real ale in addition to the typical John Smith's. I imagine the selections change regularly, so if you're a fan of real ale, it might be worth checking ahead.
Did not really liked the ribs, though my friend loved them. I think different people have different taste.
I had lunch at the cocked hat this afternoon and it had gorgeous food, sumptuous champagne and very friendly staff, the meal deal was very good value for money, I had a mixed grill and it was delectable, i will definitely be returning there for another scrumptious meal.
