Okay. I lived in Mexico as a child until I was about 7 years old, then again as an adult from 1988 to 2005. I know my Mexican food. Today my first time was to Garcia 's and I ordered a chimichanga, my wife ordered fish. She was not happy because she wanted grilled fish and was served fried fish, but she seemed to like it exactly the same (my wife is Mexican, so she knows, of course, her Mexican food). I was satisfied with my plate, the Chimichanga was tasty, the sour cream and miniscule served by Guacamole were good. I don't enjoy rice, but that's really no reflection on the restaurant, I'm just not a fan of what they call in Mexico sopa de aroz as rice with tomato sauce, and the beans were ok, but nothing special. The restaurant was clean, the service was decent, the people were friendly and polite, the price (and I am a tight watt) was appropriate. I'll go back the next time I feel like Mexican food. Finally, I would like to recommend that you try this place.
Friendly staff, wonderful family atmosphere, delicious food and delicious drinks. Garcias is the best Mexican restaurant in Granbury! Visit us!
The chips were tasty, but I found the salsa to be somewhat bland and not spicy enough—I had hoped it would pack more of a punch. We then ordered nachos topped with beans, cheese, and guacamole to satisfy our cravings. We also enjoyed several rounds of mango margaritas with sugar, which were delicious. For our main course, we had perfectly cooked fajitas that were excellent. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, adorned with authentic Christmas decorations, including a lovely tree from San Miguel (see the attached photo). Overall, it was a fantastic experience. As you can imagine, the quality of a meal is greatly influenced by the company, and I felt fortunate to share this experience with Jonathan."
The food here was excellent! They serve a wide variety of traditional recipes including many wonderful seafood offerings. I had the chili rellenos, which was very good served with a homemade guacamole the had a bit of spice to it. The star, however, was the tamales that my wife had. They were moist and flavorful. This place is worth going out of your way to visit!
