Írjon visszajelzéstWe had just landed in Grand Forks and drove straight to The Pepper. It's a must and a ritual. (Review part 2 Landed in Fargo this afternoon and even though they have a Red Pepper down there, a guy just has to do the original. Always great food and service. Review part 3 (You may notice a pattern here? We landed in Fargo on the 4th only to find out that all Red Pepper locations were closed until Monday. After some heart palpitations and rapid breathing, we went and sat outside the door until Monday morning, waiting to get in. (Okay, we may have spent some time with family while we waited. Needless to say, we went Monday ASAP. Then for some reason, I heard a salami grinder with taco meat, both sauces, both cheeses and all the traditional fixings calling my name as we left the lake on Tuesday. Lo and behold, we somehow ended up AGAIN at the Red Pepper South! They knocked it out of the park as they usually do. Then we found out that we were being helped by Bruce's Grandson. The Red Pepper has been a go to for great food since High School 40 plus years ago. Let's just say, I was quick to forgive them for being closed in exchange for some great food.
What's not to love about Red Pepper? It's a staple of the community, and there's a reason for that. Service is fast and food is ready quickly, atmosphere is so famous that it becomes nearly nostalgic, and the food... wow. The only negative is that prices have been inching upwards over the years, and it's not quite as cheap as it used to be. If you've never been and need ideas, here you go. (It's a lot of food) Whole everything grinder with white and red sauce, with 2 cheese tostadas with red and white sauce all warmed up. Unmatched in the fast causal game in Grand Forks. 5/5.
This place is a gem! Excellent tacos, fast service, low prices. Not too fancy, but if you want some good tacos, it's the place to go!
If you’ve never had a grinder you’ve got to stop here.
How cheap can you make a taco? Find out here... no tomatoes, no onions, no jalapenos... just some weird meat, scant lettuce and a bunch of cheese on a paper thin taco shell. Basura!
