The southern kitchen was on the spot. We shared the family plate and had more food than expected. It felt like Thanksgiving dinner. Brendan was our waiter very knowledgeable about the menu and the great service. In my opinion, this place is one of the best new restaurants in the city.

Nice interior, good service (attentive but relaxed) and delicious food. Eager for the vegan plate to return. Thank you for taking meat-free options that still have tons of taste. The black-eyed peas are amazing.

For the first time here. The service was friendly and fast and the food was phenomenal! I have a rubber bear that was as authentic as anything I tasted in the Middle West, and my father has catfish that he could not stop. We also got gizzards as an appetizer and they were cooked for perfection. This is probably the best soul food you will find in Michigan and we will often be back.

The gumbo was there. The Andouille sausage, shrimps were perfect and all vegetables were delicious and delicious! The Okra was the best. We'll try the cats for dinner again. The service and the staff were friendly and attentive.

First I want to apologize to any tables that sat near us last night, as we were the group who would take a bite and say “WOW” every 3 minutes. Vegan and Southern grits were amazing, one friend had a platter with fried chicken and sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese that was great as well, and all of the drinks were very thoughtfully created. The service was sweet as well. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!
