Carl's Bakery - Granite Falls

It is the jewel of the granite falls! Small small bakery that offers a great variety. They have hot menu food, baked goods ready to take home, and of course the display cases filled with donuts, desserts and other treats! If someone has a birthday in our family, we order a cake and it must be from the bakery. We love a chocolate frozen white cake and they do an incredible job! My only slight inconvenience is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, which naturally deserves time to visit other things and have a life outside the bakery! For me it's just my birthday last year was on a Sunday, and this year of course it's on a Monday! We'll just celebrate a bit earlier this year.

He heard about this bakery and once tried to go, but it was closed. Delicious donuts! The best we had in a while!

Wonderful place to stop in and have a quick breakfast before the day begins! Not just a donut/bakery shop, they have breakfast sandwiches and lunch items too. Just so you know, they only take cash and are closed on Mondays…. Well that review from me was 3 years ago and now it needs a little update. Shannon, the reviewer below is my sister who yes, is from out of town but she purchased the pie for my Mother and my family, who are prominent members of the Granite Falls community. I am the one who called to see how late you were open because I was running behind, very busy day for EVERYONE! I was told that there was NO pie waiting for me and Shannon had never put in an order for me to pick up, I spoke with two different employees there! So I call my sister to make sure and she said her card was charged and her hard earn money was taken, she called the bakery and was told what her review says. All I got was excuses when I went to pick up a frozen pie that was the wrong flavor because you sold the pie to someone else that was already purchased! PS I get coffee and donuts from you several times a week, for myself, for clients, for my family, for organizations in the community that I am a member of, ALL PEOPLE SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME, from out of town or not. Just take responsibility, APOLOGIZE, and move on!

Ordered and paid for an Apple Pie for my family to pick up as a Thanksgiving Gift, but when my sister called to pick it up they told her they did not have a pie for her. I called and after a lot of finding out what happened they told me they sold the pie I ordered and paid for. They then told me they could give my sister a frozen pie at a discount. My sister said she picked up a Frozen Cherry Pie, because they didn 't have apple, and no discount. They didn 't even offer her an apology. Their Turkeys sell at 5/lbs. I order free range local turkeys at 2.49/lb. Seems to me is more important than costumer service and serving the community they live. Not Gods way, in my opinion. I will never order from here again, which is sad because I love sending local baked goods to family members. See the owners response below, again, no apology.

Went to Carl's for the 1st time, LOVED all the treats we got. They have the BEST donuts. We will be stopping by often now. The staff is friendly.
