R&j's And Grill - Grapevine

I'm not sure why this restaurant has such high ratings. It was a disappointment. The only reason I gave it one star was because the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The beer selection is limited and the local craft beer is not included in happy hour. The barstools were barely holding together. The worst part was the food. My Italian beef sandwich tasted and smelled like spoiled meat, and the fries were greasy. It was one of the worst meals I've ever had in North Texas. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I would not recommend eating here unless they improve.

I frequent this restaurant often for both drinks and meals. It is by far the best place to eat! The food not only tastes amazing, but the chicken is consistently moist, unlike other "bar" kitchens that tend to dry it out. I recommend asking if there are any daily specials, as one of the owners is a creative cook who comes up with new dishes regularly. They have experience managing many restaurants and it really shows. The atmosphere is welcoming and feels like a Cheers-type bar where everyone is treated like family. Overall, this place is fantastic.

The dipping sauce was exactly what you would expect and tasted great. The beer was served in frosty mugs that stayed cold until they reached the table. The service was unobtrusive but always attentive.

Great atmosphere. The employees are outstanding and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely make this a regular place for date night, happy hour, last minutes drinks etc.

Food and drinks good.. nice locals hangout.. great jukebox,, terrible speakers,, they need new speakers to hear the music..... comfortable patio seating.
