Small community arena, lots of parking. A warm room with a great view attracts the ladies.

This is an inexpensive spot, but unfortunately, it doesn't uphold the standards of the better A&W locations. At those places, they honor expired coupons, don't charge extra for lettuce and tomato, and allow straightforward substitutions, like replacing bacon with an egg. Sadly, this particular location feels overpriced and pretentious, falling short of the expected service.

During my visit to the restaurant, I shared a kiss with my girlfriend before turning to my other girlfriend to do the same. As I pulled away, I noticed an employee named Jo standing at the counter. Just as I was about to place my order, Jo interjected, saying, “Please no canoodling in front of me at the store. Here, I'll turn around so you can.” As a queer person, I found this encounter uncomfortable and unwelcome—not what I expect from an A&W or any dining establishment. It felt judgmental and homophobic. We are adults, and I believe I should be free to express affection for my partners, no matter where I am.
