Írjon visszajelzéstIt's a straightforward watering hole. We needed a place to eat the day before Cinco de Mayo, and we were 40 miles from the Mexican border. They had some specials geared towards the holiday, which were decent. Since neither of us drinks, it felt a bit awkward. During lunchtime, we both opted for burgers, which were tasty and cooked as requested. The menu was quite limited. However, the kitchen was efficient, and our waitress was courteous. I'm not sure if the small menu was a temporary thing for Cinco de Mayo. It seems to cater more to those looking for a casual lunch. Regards, OldeBear.
This restaurant is fantastic! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff is not only friendly but also quite attractive, haha. The music was a delightful surprise, featuring some unique 90's genres that really made me smile. You can tell they know what they’re doing and genuinely care about making their customers happy. The food is tasty and definitely worth the price. It was great to enjoy a hearty meal that wasn’t fast food. Well done, Maria's!
I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight, and while the service was excellent, the rest of the experience fell short. I found the food particularly disappointing. I'm fairly certain the walleye was actually swai, which was surprising given that walleye is known for being one of the best freshwater white fish. It was quite mushy, unlike my previous experiences with walleye, which reminded me more of halibut. We also ordered the pot roast, but it resembled a pan-cooked chuck roast rather than a tender, fall-apart pot roast. On the positive side, the mashed potatoes were fantastic. However, both dishes were served with lackluster boiled vegetables on the side. The music selection felt out of place, especially considering that Green Valley primarily attracts an older crowd—90's rap and R&B seemed like a mismatch. Overall, the restaurant gave off the vibe of a place that you’d see on a TV show where the host comes in to save it. While the prices were reasonable, they would have seemed more justified had the food been better.
Everything was great an eleven out of ten! My server (Vince) was quick, friendly attentive; the food (a salmon salad martini) were perfect. I will definitely be telling my friends about this place ... and coming back. : D
We have always loved our meals at Maria’s. We knew this evening that they have a new chef (new to Maria’s, not new to GV). We had great food this evening. Very tasty mushroom soup. The trout was presented differently than in the past, but was even tastier. The fresh veggies were very good. The short rib special was amazing enough for 3 meals. Our waiter Daniel was very good and so amiable. Service was a bit slow, but that’s what you expect in todays understaffed restaurants. Keep it up, Kimberley and team!
