Írjon visszajelzéstThat was my first visit and I'm glad I tried this café. I chose the special one. It came with a sandwich, salad and soup. I chose the chili instead of the soup available on Wednesday. The portions were right and the sandwich was very tasteful. I was happy and planned my return. If you don't have it, try this place. They won't be disappointed.
Every town and small city has a place like The Tannery, and thank goodness for that. When the locals flock to a place, others should follow... Donna has been making these tasty deli-style sandwiches for a good long while now, and they're as tasty now as the day the place opened its doors. Long a favorite of locals prowling around the downtown area, it is a place that you should try if you're in the area; you won't regret it!
This is a small, no-frills local sandwich shop. The staff isn't particularly warm, and you have to figure out the ordering process on your own. I've noticed that in small towns, these local spots often don't cater much to newcomers. On that note, I had a really good chicken salad sandwich. It came with a lot of mayo, which, if I'm being honest, was a bit excessive—especially for the South, where I usually love it. I appreciate mayo, but there’s such a thing as too much on a chicken salad sandwich. Anyway, the chicken salad itself was tasty, though it wasn't particularly creative or groundbreaking. The sandwich had a nice structure, and I genuinely enjoyed the addition of sprouts, which I love. The melted cheese was also a nice touch. Overall, I liked the sandwich enough to return a few days later, this time opting for one with ham, roast beef, cheese, and sprouts on sourdough. It was just as delicious.
The food was delicious, and they offered a happy selection of gluten-free options. If you have celiac disease, I recommend ordering a sandwich instead of the garden salad.
The Tannery offers some of the finest deli sandwiches in Greeneville!
