Makchang - Greenhithe

We ordered a stew of mixed meats and vegetables, chicken with cheese, and they came with a huge bowl of rice and dried seaweed. For starters, we had tofu and fish cake soup. The portions were very large, enough for 4 people. The chicken was spicy but delicious, while the stew was hot and tasty without being too spicy. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling full and happy. There is a similar restaurant in city central (Dong demoon) that we also enjoy.

I believe this restaurant has the same menu and possibly the same owner as Dong Daemun on Lorne Street. I enjoy the traditional Korean ambiance and the unique decor featuring soju bottle lids on the walls. I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that serves stomach and tripe dishes without any unpleasant odors. For non-Asian diners, the chicken wings and spicy seafood soup are highly recommended and very tasty.
