Imperial Koi Asian Bistro Sushi

This was our second time her and it was another great experience

Took minutes to be seated with a reservation. The hostess seemed lost and unorganized. It took additional minutes after being seated for a waitress to come to the table. After ordering drinks and appetizers, it took more minutes to receive the drinks but only one drink came with a message the beer that I ordered was unavailable. I changed my beer only to wait more minutes. The sushi that we ordered was good but we had to ask for chop sticks and sow sauce. The sushi was very good. It took minutes to get the waitress’ attention to get a check and then more minutes to pay the check. Very good food but lackluster service.

The restaurant was simply understaffed. the food was great and there was a line out the door, but they didn’t have staff to get food prepared quickly or to attend to tables In a manner that should be expected in a restaurant like this. Hoping they can hire more help soon!

Brooke was awesome and spot on. She made sure we had everything we needed and our food was prompt and delicious.

Ownership is completely incompetent. We had a pen provided by the restaurant explode when paying the check likely due to the barometric pressure with a snow storm coming in. Ink all over my wife's hands, purse, wallet destroying it. Want to know what their solution was? Have the server pay for it. Absolutely unacceptable. In no way was it the server's fault and once we found out that was their solution, we paid in full. It is hard enough for servers, and for a restaurant to treat an employee that way is ridiculous especially with labor shortages. It is ridiculous even pre-COVID. Your staff is the core of your business. If you treat them this way, I can't believe you are still in business. Food was great but take some responsibility and don't put it on someone who is making plus tips. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. Shameful and disgusting the way you treat your most valuable asset your best employees. Note we've dined here in house and take-out close to times. This was an eye-opening experience.
